I rarely write reviews. In fact, I usually only take the time to write one when a business experience has been exceptionally good—or exceptionally bad. This is absolutely one of the good ones.

As a fellow hairstylist, I can confidently say that Marlene knows what she is doing. I’m probably a little harder to impress than the average client because I work in the industry myself, and I trust her with my own hair.

Her salon is immaculate. Seriously. It is bright, sparkling clean, peaceful, private, and incredibly relaxing. You walk in and immediately feel comfortable. There’s no chaotic salon atmosphere, no constant commotion, and no feeling like you’re being shuffled through. It feels calm, personal, and one-on-one.

She also takes cleanliness, privacy, and safety seriously. The space feels secure, welcoming, and extremely well cared for.

Most importantly, Marlene actually listens. She pays attention to what you want, she is kind and respectful, and she genuinely cares about the final result that walks out of her salon.

Since she and I are both hairdressers, I also have the unfortunate habit of occasionally cutting or coloring my own hair, deciding I can fix it myself, and then eventually showing up at her door when I no longer feel like dealing with the consequences. She gives me a little grief—which I completely deserve—and then fixes it. 😂

That actually says a lot about her. She cares. She has standards. She does not want you leaving her salon looking anything less than your best.

Marlene clearly takes pride in her work, her space, and the experience she gives her clients. She’s my girl, I trust her, and I know she’s got my back when my own hair decisions occasionally go sideways.

Five stars from me—and I do not hand those out lightly.
